Similar to Transcribe! But...
This has a similar layout to Transcribe!, a great transcribing program Ive been using for years, so i decided to take the plunge. Risky, since there was no reviews and no trial app.
The first problem I encountered is barely any instructions exist. Took me a while just to get a loop set up, but when I did, the sound quality was excellent. Video and audio playback worked very well and retained great sound quality without typical warbles, even at low speeds.
From first impressions, The piano and spectrum analysis tools dont really seem to be doing anything. Nor does the guitar tab tool. No instructions whatsoever on how they are to be used, so for all I know I could be using it wrong. With Transcribe!, hitting the piano key in correspondence with the associated peak in the wave spectrum analysis tool helped you identify the correct note being played. In this app, it doesnt seem to do anything.
Finally, going back to the main menu to look at your settings does not allow you to get back to your project without having to reload everything all over again.
This app is fairly new and seems to offer alot of capabilities for the price, so I hope to see updates and an FAQ put up on the devs web page to help get the most out of this app. It would be nice to work on my transcriptions away from my computer.
