Great app for learning musical phrases, or complete songs if so inclined. Use it for slowing videos of any physical performance to capture intricasies of movement for learning or for entertainment.

Like this app a lot ,would rate it 10 stars if I could figure how to get my slices into Dropbox etc. after using it for some time now after the above rating no need to go any further,this app serves me so well for what it does dont need to export slices . 10 stars and just learned a song I wanted to play for years,WOW.

Its also fun!

What a disappointment! Force closed 4 times in under 5 minutes. And does nothing. Thanks a lot Apple for allowing garbage apps to flourish

This app works amazingly well. I havent tried the video yet, but for audio its flawless. I needed a section of a song slowed down a bit. I cut that section out of Multitrack, imported to Beat Time. And slowed the section down to where it sounded good. Imported it back to Multitrack, lined the section up where I cut it out. Put in some fades. Sounds decent. Also, I received an email back in less than 12 hours. Great support, amazing app!

Best transcribing tool in IOS and more. Great customer service. The title says it all.

Good app with many formats. But, Ive recently had problems with it crashing after the song optimizes. Also, the speed shift doesnt always work when returning to 100%. Other than that, good. I tend to use iLift Universal when stability is important and I have the song in my music app.

Please fix this and it would worth 5 stars!

This app instantaneously slows or speeds up the selected area, or the entire tune - I previously used expensive professional apps on my computer, but they are more cumbersome and do not process as fast as Beat Time. I use it for analyzing solos and transcribing fast jazz phrases.

5$ is a little high, but it does its job well. Used on iphone 5 with non up to date os and is doing great! Works fast and in real time. Save me a lot of time buying songs just to pitch shift and change the keys to prep for gigs with finicky singers... Well worth the $$$ type the YouTube address and click two buttons and your playing in a different key. Whappow!

It is possible to add the possibility of "search" in my files library by alphabetical order?

This is my number one App to help me learn guitar. I import videos from various sources including You Tube . I slow down the video while retaining the pitch to learn the fingering and phrasing. Beat Time also has a loop function to help study small sections. Great App with great customer support. Fin

This app has been a life saver. I am a guitar instructor and my students ask me for all kinds of different songs. With Beat Time, I can not only slow down songs from my library, but I can look up the songs I do not have on YouTube and slow them down too. This allows my students to practice a song with the original recording, but do so at a speed that is more manageable than would otherwise be possible. It also allows me to adjust the pitch so that I can avoid de-tuning my guitar for songs that are in alternate tunings, which saves a lot of time. Also, when YouTube changed their format for some of their videos, the developer went above and beyond to make sure that this app was up to date and working properly, responding directly to an email I sent him. Great app, great customer service. stop reading and buy this app now.

This is the only app I have found that allows semitone pitch shifting of YouTube videos which makes learning songs MUCH easier and more efficient. Other similar apps require that you have the song in your library, or strip the audio from the video in order to shift the pitch (to accommodate down tunings without requiring retuning your guitar, etc.). With this app you can still watch the video with the speed and/or pitch altered which enhances the learning process. With so much content on YouTube, this app is a must own for guitar teachers/music students.

Well-designed and stable app for transcription, great feature set. User interface is easy and the youtube importing beats them all. Pitch detection is decent but the rest of the features are awesome

I use this app a bit for storing and playing music files back at slow speed for guitar. Now with YouTube the app is stuck and "Preparing to play..." And next gets past it. Please fix. Update: fixed YouTube playback issues. Works great!
